Johnny Wactor, the actor in General Hospital, is no more. The 37-year-old man fell victim to a group of three thugs who had tried to steal his catalytic converter. He was then shot and left at the scene in the incident on Saturday. He was then rushed to a community hospital, where he was reportedly pronounced dead upon arrival. Deadline, in another report, detailed more on how, in an attempt to rob him of the catalytic converter, the three suspects shot him and then later took off. A mom to the actor and producer, Johnny Wactor, confirmed to TMZ that her son was shot Saturday morning after he confronted a trio of men outside his car.

Wactor appeared from 2020 to 2022 in the ABC daytimer (which bowed in 1963) as Brando Corbin. Brando entered the series and was revealed to be the son of Gladys (Bonnie Burrough), who was previously presumed dead. Sasha was married with the character Wactor played and, in the end, when Hook stabbed him, he died.

Sofia Mattsson remembered Wactor after hearing the news of his death. In social media posts, Mattsson paid homage to the late actor in words and with pictures from the ABC soap. My heart is so completely broken…Johnny was the absolute best. He's so honest. He is so caring. He is incredibly hardworking and humble. With a huge heart that brought so much kindness and joy to everyone. She was always the one to make sure everyone around her was seen, heard and loved. I have so much admiration for the man he was, and I am a better person for having known him—written by.
